About Soul Trait Extractor

An original 28-question interpretation of seven fan-associated SOUL traits, with transparent scoring and a complete trait spectrum.

Why the quiz uses connected signals

Soul Trait Extractor considers seven human SOUL traits at the same time: Patience, Bravery, Integrity, Perseverance, Kindness, Justice, and Determination. A response can primarily support one trait while making a smaller contribution to a related trait or reducing an opposing signal. A neutral response contributes zero. This makes the result more expressive than assigning a color from one obvious choice.

People rarely show one quality in isolation. Waiting for the right moment can involve both Patience and Integrity; confronting an unfair situation may combine Bravery and Justice; recovering from a setback can reflect Perseverance and Determination. The connected-signal design allows those overlaps to appear in the final spectrum while still identifying the strongest and second-strongest tendencies.

How this version works

The quiz uses 28 original statements, with four primary questions for each trait. Five response choices run from Strongly disagree to Strongly agree. Each choice becomes a value from -2 to +2, while Not sure contributes zero. Eight prompts reverse the scoring direction so automatically agreeing with every statement does not push all seven traits upward.

Every question contains a seven-part weight profile. The main trait normally receives the strongest weight, related traits can receive smaller positive contributions, and an opposing tendency can receive a small negative contribution. Raw totals are normalized to a common 0-100 scale. The highest result becomes the primary signal, the runner-up becomes the secondary signal, and all seven scores remain visible.

The same answers always produce the same result because the calculation does not use randomness. The complete formula, scoring direction, margin thresholds, and answer table are published on the Methodology page.

Original questions and writing

The 28 prompts were written specifically for Soul Trait Extractor around recognizable choices: waiting, speaking under pressure, keeping commitments, returning after setbacks, responding to someone in need, judging what is fair, and maintaining direction. The interface, scoring implementation, graphics, result combinations, and trait guides were also created for this site.

The question set has its own balance of primary prompts, cross-trait weights, reverse scoring, result combinations, confidence margins, and a seven-part visual spectrum. Primary and secondary signals are combined into named readings so a close pair can carry more context than a single color. The result pages then explain constructive expressions, possible shadows, nearby-trait comparisons, and questions for reflection.

How to answer for a useful result

This quiz has no answer key that rewards the most admirable response. Choose what resembles your usual behavior, including patterns you may want to change. Answering as an ideal character can still produce a result, but it describes that ideal more than the choices you normally make. Honest differences between answers give the scoring model more information than choosing the same positive response throughout.

Choose Not sure only when you genuinely cannot decide. It does not add to or subtract from any trait. Choosing it too often may make your result less distinct. If two answers both seem possible, choose the one that best matches how you usually react. Your answers do not need to point toward the same trait.

How to read the seven-trait result

The primary trait is the strongest signal in the submitted answers, not the only trait present. The secondary signal adds context, while the complete spectrum shows whether the lead is narrow or decisive. Patience paired with Bravery can describe a different pattern from Bravery paired with Kindness even when one of those traits finishes first in both results.

Each result guide provides language for reflection rather than a fixed verdict about personality. Treat the constructive and shadow descriptions as prompts to compare with your own experience. The quiz is an entertainment and fan-reflection experience, not a clinical, diagnostic, educational, employment, or professional assessment. Results should not be used to make consequential decisions about yourself or another person.

Evidence, fandom, and this quiz

The seven-trait structure begins with familiar Undertale fandom conventions. Community references document six color–word pairings and commonly link related equipment with the six fallen humans. Red–Determination is widespread fan shorthand, but the reviewed sources do not establish it as an equally explicit or exclusive game label.

The project is unofficial and has no affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship from Toby Fox or the UNDERTALE/DELTARUNE teams. UNDERTALE, DELTARUNE, their characters, names, and related properties belong to their respective rights holders.

Local answers and privacy

Responses, progress, and the latest result are stored in browser local storage so the quiz can resume without an account. Scoring runs in the browser, and the quiz is designed not to send individual answer values or the full seven-part result as analytics events. This local approach also means saved progress does not automatically follow a visitor to another browser or device.

Visitors can remove saved quiz data through the quiz controls or browser settings. The complete disclosure for analytics, local storage, cookies, advertising, personalized advertising, and available choices is provided in the Privacy Policy.

Authorship, feedback, and contact

The quiz prompts, weight profiles, code, interface, original graphics, result combinations, and trait guides were created for Soul Trait Extractor. Corrections or questions about scoring, accessibility, privacy, sourcing, or rights can be sent to support@soultraitextractor.com.

The most useful feedback identifies a specific page, statement, or interaction and explains what should be checked. Reports about broken links, unclear wording, keyboard access, display problems, or a mismatch between an explanation and the published scoring behavior are welcome. Feedback may inform future corrections, but it does not change a submitted result automatically.
