What does the blue SOUL mean in Undertale?

Fans commonly pair the blue SOUL with Integrity. Community references document the color and virtue word in Snowdin's Ball Game.

For this quiz, Integrity means keeping values, words, and private choices aligned even when inconsistency would be easier. The definition concerns the distance between what someone says matters and what they choose when approval, convenience, or reputation creates pressure.

What happens when your own rule costs you?

Suppose you tell a group that everyone should disclose mistakes early. Later, you discover an error in your own contribution. Quietly repairing it may solve the immediate problem, but it also prevents others from learning that their decisions relied on a mistake.

The Integrity questions ask about this gap between a public standard and a private exception: matching choices to values, acknowledging your part in a mistake, and stating facts that affect how you are judged. They do not test whether every standard you hold is a good one.

Changing a position after discovering better evidence can be consistent with a commitment to honesty. Refusing to change merely to preserve the appearance of consistency can work against it. When reviewing your result, identify the standard and the reason for an exception before deciding whether the description fits.

Which answers affect Integrity?

These are the four questions primarily designed for this dimension. Other questions also contribute through cross-weights; answering only these four would not reproduce a complete result.

Exact prompts from question set 2026-08-13-a
IDStatementScoring direction
q09My private choices match the standards I defend in public.Agreeing raises Integrity
q10I change my stated values when approval is at stake.Agreeing lowers Integrity
q11I name the exact part of a mistake that belongs to me.Agreeing raises Integrity
q12I state inconvenient facts when they change how I am judged.Agreeing raises Integrity

The 57 here is smaller than the 59 produced by a single strong Patience answer. Each trait has its own denominator because other questions contribute different cross-weights. The numbers cannot be read as equal units of moral worth.

Reproduce a Integrity score

Synthetic examples, not visitor profiles. Start with “Not sure” (3) for all 28 answers: every score is 50. In the first example change only q09 to “Strongly agree” (5). In the second, start again from all-neutral and change only q10 to 5.

Scores in order: Patience / Bravery / Integrity / Perseverance / Kindness / Justice / Determination
Answer patternSeven scores
q09 = 5; all others = 350 / 50 / 57 / 50 / 51 / 53 / 51
q10 = 5; all others = 350 / 49 / 43 / 50 / 51 / 49 / 50

q09 gives Integrity a weight of 1, producing a raw contribution of +2. Its bound is 13.4, so (2 + 13.4) ÷ 26.8 × 100 rounds to 57. Justice rises to 53 because the same question also gives Justice a 0.3 weight.

q10 is reversed: agreeing contributes −2 rather than +2 to Integrity, giving 43 in the second example. A reversed question describes the opposite tendency; the scoring direction is not a judgment that an answer is good or bad.

One answer is too little information for a personal conclusion, even if it creates a large lead. See how one change can swap the leading trait, or follow the full normalization calculation.

Integrity compared with nearby traits

Justice focuses on fair standards and how decisions distribute costs; Integrity focuses on alignment between a person’s stated standards and their own choices. Determination protects direction, while Integrity asks whether the destination and the means still match the person you intend to be. Kindness adds attention to dignity and human impact.

Repair one mismatch

Site-authored reflection exercise · September 18, 2026. This is a hypothetical practice prompt, not a test of moral worth or a story about a quiz user.

Recall a small standard you defended publicly but did not follow privately. Describe the mismatch without using a flattering trait label. Choose a proportionate repair: correct a statement, acknowledge your part, or change the behavior next time. Do not expose someone else's private information in the name of honesty.

Afterward, ask: Would you make the same correction without an audience? Integrity is consistency with an examined standard; Justice asks additionally whether the standard treats affected people fairly.
